The Academy is not meeting for classes this Fall 2020
\After a lengthy discussion and review of where we stand now with the Fall semester quickly approaching, the Lancaster Academy Board voted to suspend classes until the Spring semester. By taking this Fall to plan and by offering opportunities for informal gatherings, we hope to create a bridge to a successful Spring semester.
Here are factors that we considered in our prayerful decision:
We are a close-knit, faith-based community that values being, learning, and performing together to God’s glory, which has been disrupted by our current and prospective climate and guidelines.
The position of the Executive Director remains vacant, and we would like to take time to restructure how the Academy can run effectively, in addition to addressing the added complexity of Coronavirus factors.
PA leaders have demonstrated an “on-again/off-again” approach of managing public health and private business that does not look good for a successful Fall semester.
We need to develop a clear action plan that we can implement successfully in order to comply with the needs of Lancaster First Assembly, who graciously wants to continue hosting Academy classes with some accommodations.
Academy Families & Teachers will receive updates via your email on record and will be posted here & Facebook.

BVI RECORDING Students had a wonderful ministry opportunity this summer, singing on a recording for Bible Visuals International! This recording will be circulated all over the world, helping bring people to Jesus Christ!
FROM OUR RECENT PRODUCTION OF OLIVER!
"Wow! Everyone was fantastic, but I thought the three leads- Nancy, Fagin and Bill- were smokin’ last night. Nancy was tragically heartwarming, Fagin was snaky, yet comical, and Bill was scary baaaad. It’s hard to believe O-L-I-V-E-R! is O-V-E-R! " Susan
"Man, can those kids sing!! It's not just a couple of 'stand out stars', it's ALL of them!!" Keith
"Wow, Oliver! was an amazing experience. The orchestra was exceptional and added so much to the play. This was our first year at LAPA and I wasn't expecting such a high level performance from the students. My daughter has learned so much from her teachers, and I am so grateful. We were not sure if we would return to LAPA next year, due to the busyness of life, but now I wouldn't even consider not having her be a part of such a wonderful organization. She is already looking forward to next year. She loves LAPA!" Angie

Over the years we have performed over 400 musical concerts, including Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Coronation Mass and many other fine choral pieces, and produced 35 theatrical productions, including favorites like The Sound of Music, Music Man, King & I, Anne of Green Gables, The Wizard of Oz, and The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.
What we offer....CHORAL - INSTRUMENTAL - THEATRE - FINE ARTS Our program has expanded into four departments. We now offer four choirs, orchestra, multiple instrumental ensembles, theatre classes and productions, dance theater classes, fine arts classes, summer camps and many socials, along with community service especially to the local nursing homes. This gives our students the opportunity to explore multiple group arts opportunities in different areas and to perform in many settings. We are also committed to a family friendly environment that is a safe place for students to develop in the arts. We also emphasize whole family involvement so that our group is a support for the priority of the family. Go to Choral Go toInstrumental Go toTheatre Go toFine Arts
